Decorative Furniture

This picture is very different and decorative. It uses the arm rests and the backs of the chairs to look like a pair of glasses. It's a very unique chair and is very cool. The colors go very well with every else on the chair and in the back ground.

Decorative room

This is a decorative room. All the colors go well together in this room. It uses calm colors and not too powerful colors to make the room seem "too much" It's a very calm room and very simple. It's pattern on the wall is very unique.

Decorative building

This castle is very well detailed. It has a lot of different highs and lows to it. It doesn't have a lot of different
colors or pattern to it, but it all goes together well. It has different line designs to it. Simple works very well for this building.

Structural Furniture

This is a unique set of furniture. The table is held up by 3 big circles. That would be very hard to build and to actually structure into a table. The furniture is more retro-modern. It has 3 different layers of cushions on the actual couch.

Structural Room

This is a Structural Room. It has a lot of room without the furniture in it. It's a good space if you like a lot of room or if you have a large family. The door ways and windows are a good and equal amount of space away from each other.

Structural Building

This building is a Structural Building. It has good architecture. It is really simple and has a neat, but simple design. Its design is perfect for a church. It can fit a lot of people into the building and has quite a bit of room.

furniture styles

This sofa seems very luxourious and stylish. It has a good structure. It looks very classy and very modern-day.

This bed has a cool headboard and box around it. I like how it has that design. It would be a hard design to make, but its worth it cause it looks unique. Hardwood.

This couch seems kind of retro looking. It's construction is 3 different sofa's put together to make one couch. It looks to be more for looks rather to sit or lay down on. It doesn't have that much detail to it.

This dresser uses a darker wood and probably more stable to hold larger and heavier things. Most dressers these days don't come with mirrors on top. This probably uses a hardwood.

4 lines

Stripe lines can be used for repetition or color. This can make a room look colorful or boring, depending on if your stripes have color in them or not.

This is a pattern on a drape. You can use this or any design on a drape to bring life to the room, or a pattern.

This pattern is called Valance. All the lines are the same, but different colors. Usually used with bright colors.

These lines are both horizontal and vertical for a unique pattern

Fabrics used in furniture production

Unlike most fabrics, silk is very slippery and uses a certain type of production to get its silky feel. This type of fabric has a nice look and is very comfortable. This style was most likely made for comfortability and a nice feel to it. Silk also has a shimmering look to it. You wouldn't want little children or pets on a silk couch. Silk is very delicate. If you were to re-purpose it, you could make the couch for "only" looks, and no one to sit down on. But if you wanted people to sit down on your couch or other kind of silk furniture, you could use a less delicate kind of silk. You could use this piece of furniture in the more "nicer" looking part of your home.

Fabrics

Jacquard weaving- has the highest level of warp yarn control. This kind of weaving use to use drawloom, which is where warp ends are pulled up by second operator. The term refers to the added control mechanism that automates the patterning.

Plain weave- has weft and warp threads interwined in a alternated way to look like a checkerboard. It is the simplest and most common kind of warp and weft. The 2 kinds are equal and the spacing is equal on the weave.

Satin weave- this kind of weave is more complicated than a plain weave, but it is flexible. It is made by interlacing of threads that are arranged in a way that the face of cloth is covered. Floating warp or weft yarns may bring them to surface.

Twill weave- is made from parallel diagonal ribs from right-to-left or left-to-right. Can be made by interlacing warp threats over 1-2 filling thread all in alternate rows. It will be more pliable than the plain or basket weave but less pliable than satin

Metal, Glass, Ceramics, and Plastics

Glass-
This area of the house uses glass. When picking a house, you need to decide what kind of material you want to use when building your house. Glass is very easy to see through. If you live around people you wouldn't want your house to be all glass. Also, if you have a glass house, alot of light will shine through inside.

Ceramic-
This is the kitchen area of a house. It is mostly made of ceramics. It's all white and has random colorful parts. Not too many houses have ceramics parts to it. This house uses a lot of bright colors.

Plastic-
This is a picture of plastic carpet. It is durable. It gets rotten when wet. You can use this in any room. Alot of people use this in their bathrooms.

Metal-
This is a picture of metal stairs. These stairs would be very durable and reliable. These stairs are spiral to add pazaz. These stairs would be slippery.

Color-A-Room

http://www.bhg.com/app/coloraroom/member/index.jsp?

Floor Plans

I liked this floor plan because it has 3 bedrooms and has a bathroom by each room. I also liked how the living room is in the middle of the room. It has a pretty good traffic flow, its pretty open into the living room and dining room. I would want my Family Room away from my bedroom, so if people were in the family room being loud i could still sleep, and be relaxed. You could fit 5 people into this house. It is a pretty decent size of house.
